So here’s the deal.

I won’t share any information I have about you. With anyone. Ever.

You will remain an anonymous visitor as far as the cat (my SEO expert) and I are concerned. I might fantasize that you’re someone who enjoys birds or astrophotography. Or maybe needed to read a poem (even one you think is not as good as that one you wrote in high school.)

But I really won’t know anything about you personally at all. Unless you comment on something—which I hope you will because I think you’ll agree it’s been a shit pandemic year and we could use a little more peopling. Even there, I will only know you by the name you provide and will never share it.

On that topic, should you comment try to say something pleasant or helpful even if you’re critiquing something (which I wholly invite, it’s how we grow,) but deliver it in a way that’s beneficial and not just a snarky comment in a feeble attempt to make you feel better about yourself. I can’t make you feel better. have you tried peanut butter cups. They sometimes work for me. But, back to commenting. Pissy or strictly self-serving comments will be never make it to the light of day. Share something that’s uplifting or useful to me, to you, and to the world. Society will be forever thankful.

I will occasionally look at which of my pages get browsed because it’s mildly interesting to see which of my very widely varying posts is remotely interesting to others, and which are not. But I won’t know it’s you, unless your name happens to be VISITOR maybe. I won’t know anything about you beyond a string of numbers, the date, the browser, device and platform you’re using. Even there, I won’t know WHICH model computer, phone or tablet you’re using and unless it’s the new iPad Pro that Apple released last week, I won’t even care.

Then there’s the whole Cookie Policy.

So essentially, I know nothing about you that you haven’t expressly told me.

All of that being so, I totally understand if you want to opt-out of the whole cookie thing. Here’s how:
